Custom bookcase for chimney pipe made of birch plywood, by Leonoor

Leonoor has made a beautiful and practical bookcase custom made from birch plywood. The small bookcase is a smart solution to hide the chimney pipe in the attic. You can create your own custom bookcase using sawn material in a smart way. 

Description of Leonoor

There was a chimney pipe next to the wardrobe, not so cozy in the nursery! That's why I built a bookcase made of 18mm birch plywood around the pipe, where toys and books can be placed.

How I made this project

The cabinet was quite difficult to put in. because it had to be placed under the sloping roof. That's why I ordered larger for the planks that I had to saw at an angle. I then sawed the diagonal line in the work. First I attached the large side shelf to the back wall of the cupboard (simply screwed, just pre-drilled). Then I placed the planks in between. I had the idea to also stain the cabinet. But I actually think it looks best without stain, so it will stay that way for now.
